Lisa Ellery (Principal Solicitor)
Lisa founded Ellery Brookman in February, 2008.
She grew up in a farming family at Gibson, near Esperance, and after graduating from the University of Western Australia in 1998 was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1999.
Lisa relocated to Kalgoorlie-Boulder after graduating and has practised in this city throughout her legal career.
She serves the Goldfields community as chair of the Goldfields Esperance Regional Committee of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and director of the trustee of the GCU Community Trust.
Lisa’s areas of practice include commercial and business law, business sales, estate and succession planning, Wills, contracts and commercial leases.
She loves living in the Goldfields, and enjoys waterskiing and running.
Jennine Kiely (Senior Associate Solicitor)
Jennine commenced her legal career in 1989 as an articled clerk in a small Queensland firm in the country town where her parents farmed. Jennine settled in Kalgoorlie in 1998. She has worked both in private practice and for government-funded legal services for the bulk of the past twenty years, whilst also raising three children.
Jennine’s areas of practice include criminal law and family law.
Jennine loves playing golf at the Kalgoorlie-Boulder golf course and fishing off the jetty in Esperance.
Kerry McAuliffe (Senior Associate Solicitor)
Kerry graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Laws in 1966. He commenced articles with the law firm Lavan & Walsh (later Phillips Fox and now Lavan Legal) and became a partner of that firm in 1969. In 1995 he relocated to Kalgoorlie and opened a branch of Phillips Fox as part of the firm's increasing practice in Resources Law. in 1997, after more than 30 years with the firm, Kerry resigned and commenced his own busy practice in Kalgoorlie specialising in property, succession, mining and commercial matters, and that practice continued until December 2000.
Kerry then returned to Perth for family reasons, and practiced as a consultant in business and property law, mining law, business sales and acquisitions, wills and probate, business structures and succession, corporations law, trusts, not for profit organisations and conveyancing before joining Ellery Brookman in 2012. Whilst he continues to reside in Perth, Kerry works closely with our Kalgoorlie-based practice and visits Kalgoorlie regularly.
Kerry holds numerous voluntary and paid board positions, acts as an advisor to a number of not-for-profit groups and is an active member of the Rotary Club of Perth. He loves sailing, gardening and travelling.
Suzanne Fletcher (Senior Associate Solicitor)
Upon being admitted to practice, Suzanne moved to Kalgoorlie in 1998 and has since then worked as a solicitor in both the private and community sectors.
Suzanne has experience in many areas of law, including family, commercial, property and guardianship and administration applications. Her current areas of practice include commercial leasing, property conveyancing and deceased estates.
Suzanne balances her legal career with raising a young family and loves trekking.
Frances Bellingham (Solicitor)
Frances grew up in Ballarat, Victoria and attended Deakin University in Melbourne. Whilst studying Frances travelled to rural Cambodia to volunteer at a local aid organisation.
Frances began working for Ellery Brookman in August 2009 as a paralegal clerk whilst completing her law degree by correspondence. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia on 4 April 2011.
Frances serves the community through her work with the Goldfields Childrens Charity Inc committee. She plays mixed netball and likes to relax by reading or listening to music.
Kerry Kennedy (Solicitor)
Kerry grew up in the Goldfields and moved back to Kalgoorlie-Boulder on completing her studies to take up an articled clerk position at Ellery Brookman. She was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia on 1 May 2012.
Kerry enjoys playing netball and basketball, and loves to meet new people.
